Ana Gonzales bio

Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, the daughter of a musician from Mexico, was born to an affluent family. As a child, she was exposed to a lot of traditional music as well as traditional Boleros. She also listened to traditional romantic ballads and ranchero. Ana enjoys tangos, opera, and every form of dramatic performances. She started singing and studying songs with her mother and commenced more serious training in singing when she was 16 working with the famous Mexican tenor Flavio Becerra. The singer continued her education in the field of music with the School of Music of Guadalajara University. She then attended the School of Sacred Music, Toluca. She sang throughout Guadalajara, Mexico City and other cities, both as a scholar and professional. Following her move to the United States in 2000, she sang in the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus before moving to her present residence in the southern part of California. The group she is in currently part of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and often performs as a soloist in classic Latin American music at private performances. Her love and passion for music, art, as well as performing, keeps her active with a variety of local initiatives as a performer, teacher, and instructor. Ana was also a member of the Community Chorus of Redlands and Inland Master Chorale. She is now a teacher of The Performance Loft. Ana hopes that with the sharing her love of Latin American traditional songs, she can instill a love, in particular among the younger generation to keep this tradition living.
