Aisling Claiodhnadh, also known as Aisling "Bea", is an Irish writer and actor. Her birth date was the 16th of March 1984. Bea's father Brian was an equine vet who took his own life at the age of three. Bea didn't learn how her father passed away until she reached the age of thirteen. In 2017, Bea published an article in The Guardian about the suicide of her father's family. She also adopted her stage name Bea in tribute. Bea was raised with her older sister Sinead by Helen Moloney. Helen is a secondary teacher, jockey trainer and former professional racer. She and her family loved racing, horses as well as the race industry. Bea was a child a tour guide in the Irish National Stud. From the age of a child, Bea knew that she did not want to pursue the racing industry. Instead she loved the performing arts.
